10 Ways to Get Traffic for Your Site!
We all know that traffic to your website/blog is important to get your message across to potential customers. So, I’ve written this article “10 Ways to Get Traffic for Your Site ” to help you achieve this process. Although, there are more then ten ways, below I’ve listed what I believe to be the top ten:
1. High quality, unique content
For long term FREE search engine traffic, you must provide high quality and unique content for your readers/customers/subscribers. You want to provide lots of rich keyword information content for the search engines and humans to find. Your content must be unique and relevant. Help solve someone’s problem.
2. Additional fresh, relevant & useful content on a regular basis
You want your site to be found via THOUSANDS of different phrases every month. So adding fresh, relevant and useful content is important for ongoing traffic. Search engines like fresh sites which keep gradually adding new content. Remember, to not let your site go stale.
3. Domain Name
Choose a domain name people will remember and won’t be confused with similar names. You don’t want people typing your competitor’s domain name when they’re trying to find YOUR site. Be unique when choosing a domain name. NameTumbler is a handy tool that helps you choose a domain name.
4. Article distribution
Submit your articles to niche directories. Find directories that compliment your site’s theme and submit your articles for that extra exposure.
5. Write articles for other sites
You want to get high quality links to your site. So writing articles for other sites is very important. Submit your articles also to ezinearticles.com and articlebase.com
6. Keywords in images
You want to use appropriate keywords in your image file names. Hundreds of people search for images so using an appropriate key phrase helps. Traffic may not be much but at least you know your images are well named and someone searching for an image might just come across your own image which then links to your site page.
7. Page titles
Great page titles should be written for search engines and humans. Do a search on Google and check out their page title ranked in the top 10. Can you improve on your own titles? If so, get to work and make those titles eye catching to increase your site traffic.
8. Keyword research
Find out the exact phrases which people are typing into search engines and evaluate the competition. Check out Google’s keyword tool and research exact phrases in your business niche.
9. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
You need to make it easy for a search engine to figure out the topic of your page. Use appropriate keywords or key phrases in your titles, page heading, introduction, throughout the article, in the
meta description and in alt tags as well. Research books on SEO and study the techniques used to get traffic to your site/s.
And last but certainly not least…
10. Reciprocal links
Also known as “link exchanges,” “link swaps,” and “link partners.” It is an arrangement of two websites that agree to link to each other. Reciprocal links help increase traffic when someone clicks on your link when visiting the partnered site. Reciprocal links may also boost your ranking in the search engines. Find good quality complementary sites to link too. Send an email to the webmaster asking for a reciprocal link suggesting a page where the link would be appropriate. Always reciprocate and place their link on your site as well. Tell the web site owner you’ve linked to their site, giving them the URL of the page where you’ve place their link.
I hope the above “10 Ways to Get Traffic for Your Site” will help you gain additional readers, subscribers and customers.
Good luck with your business endeavors!
