5 Essential Writing Tips For Your Blog

Having writer’s block is just a fact of life for every writer. The question is how do you keep from having writer’s block when there’s so much to say?

Personally, I like to jot down ideas that help me create my blog post draft. I fill in the details as I go along which helps me create an article. Then, I write 3 headlines and analyze which would work best. This tactic helps me to keep focused and allows me to share my story with you.

Check out the 5 essential writing tips for your blog below.

1. What should you write about?

Keep your blogs niche in mind when trying to come up with something to write.  In other words, base your thoughts around that specific niche to create something compelling for your readers to learn. Your topic should benefit your readers one way or another. Let your readers get to know you first by showing them your personality through your writing, video producing and/or podcasts. Engage them with questions at the end of your article to help build comments on your blog.

Always provide basic, real, useful information as well as resources to go along with the information you’re writing.

2. What’s your expertise?

Can your readers learn from it too? How has your knowledge worked for you? Show examples and resources. In my blog, I share business articles and links to other helpful resources filled with additional information. Have you had this experience with your own blog? If so, let your readers know how they can learn from your expertise as well.

3. Guest Blogging

Guest blogging is a great way to feature other successful writer’s who can contribute to your blog and vice versa. This tactic works best whenever you are experiencing writer’s block. You can find a guest post by searching on Google. Use keywords regarding your niche. Do a search for “guest blogging” and find articles that you know will fit well with your blog’s theme.  You get the traffic and the writer gets recognition. It’s a win win for both parties involved. Remember to ask for permission to use an article and never alter the content of a guest article.

4. Sponsorship

Sponsorship is a great way to get your blog noticed. Sponsored advertising is also a great way to monetize some blogs. The more specific the topic of your blog, the more likely it can become a viable advertising solution for others. Your business blog’s niche should make it easier to bag some sponsored ads. Use due diligence when searching for sponsorship networks to join. Check out the following sovrn, adthrive and media.

5. Be creative

There is so much blogging competition out there so being creative is not only necessary but required. You want to stand out from the crowd.

Find other ways to spice up your blog with the following:

>>  LinkVehicle introduces an affiliate network where you can earn revenue simply by offering your readers great offers from name brands.

>>  Blogvertise is simple. Earn cash with sponsored posts and generate extra income from your blog.
