  1. Great tips! I especially like number 5 and 6. People often make the mistake of being so focused on “getting” people that they forget the best way to attract people is to provide value that solves peoples’ pain.

    I know all the gurus say email every day, but that just seems a bit excessive to me. I think 2-4 times is plenty. Like you however, I set the expectation in my welcome message that I won’t email daily and only when I have value for my peeps. Setting that expectation and staying true to it will help your open and CTR.

    I agree, it’s important to focus on providing valuable information to a subscriber which makes for a loyal reader always.

    I find emailing everyday a bit much as well. My routine has worked for my blog so I think I’ll keep doing it until my subscribers tell me otherwise.

    I like how you also set the expectation on how often to send out a newsletter. Keeping subscribers up to date is essential to a successful newsletter.
