How do you define business success?
The Internet has completely changed the business world. It has changed the whole concept of how to be successful in an online arena. Succeeding online with a home-based business is now attainable. It also provides the opportunity for many to give up the 9 to 5 corporate ride and seek their dream of becoming self employed. Some have made this transition seem easy and others continue to struggle.
Have you been thinking about making this change? Do you have what it takes to make this a successful move?
Let’s take a look at a few of the things that ultimately decide who makes the grade and who goes down with the ship so to speak.
* Do something you enjoy.
- There is nothing quite like enjoying what you do. It puts a whole new perspective on the world and your life. If you enjoy what you do, working becomes a pleasure instead of a chore.
- Some of you are probably thinking, yeah right, that’s easy for her to say, work is not something to enjoy but rather just a pain that we have to endure. I say, if you enjoy what you do, then working becomes a pleasure instead of a chore, simple as that. Find your passion and turn that passion into a business that will not only benefit you but that others may benefit from also.
*Discipline
- Key to building a successful home-based Internet business. Without discipline one can easily get side tracked away from the daily business requirements of growing and prospering.
*Focus
- Keep your business work separate from your personal work. Set up a schedule to remind you of the important points of the day pertaining to your online business.
-Don’t expect to be successful overnight. So many people have heard the Internet success stories and think wealth will come fast and easy. Contrary to popular belief, starting and building a successful online business takes time and effort. Don’t be fooled by the quick rich schemes, they don’t exist!
- Be prepared for hard work and before you realize it, your definition of success will prevail!

One thing you should add, confident. You could be discipline but if you not confident, you could end-up burn-out. If you confident but not discipline, then you waste a lot of time.

I agree you must enjoy what you’re doing! Clients will quickly pick up on your enthusiasm. Part of focusing and growing your business is to use all of the knowledge ‘out there’ — interact and read what others advise, like this article. My definition of business success is part satisfaction with creating & launching each web design and part customer satisfaction, as evidenced by testimonials, continued business relationship and referrals. These translate into the monetary aspects of the business.
